BAG IN BOX is born

La Fiammante's Buccino plant is starting the BAG IN BOX line, an innovative type of product packaging intended for the Horeca channel that significantly reduces packaging weight and volume, benefiting handling, bulk, shipping costs and environmental impact.

Passata and Pa' Pizza, fine pulp for pizza (and more!) are now also available in BAG IN BOX 5 kg format, consisting of 2 of 2.5 kg aluminum and plastic bags housed in a cardboard box.

As always, these are preserves made exclusively from fresh tomatoes, both long and round: washed, chopped, concentrated and pasteurized. Once filled, the sealed bags undergo a second pasteurization and then cooling with water jets.

The 5kg tomato cans are rigid and bulky, while the pouches are flexible and take up much less space generating a drastic reduction in bulk and transportation costs for the caterer as ùwell. Economic but also raw material management advantages that should not be overlooked.
