Making data and information on production and supply chain processes accessible to consumers is essential to protect authentic Made in Italy, particularly agri-food products. On World Consumer Rights Day, La Fiammante launches a new campaign for label transparency: #onlyfreshtomato.

La Fiammante passata is only from fresh tomatoes, that is, produced and bottled during the months of harvest, according to the seasonality of the raw materials used.

The tomato ripens in the open field only in summer, and its harvest runs from July to early October. Few people know, however, that its preservation follows two different paths: there are those, like La Fiammante, who produce and bottle during the months of harvest and those, on the other hand, who concentrate the tomato juice and keep it stored in silos and then reprocess and bottle it, even many months later.
